Overview
For 4×4 enthusiasts who want to discover the rally route Paris-Dakar If you're looking to explore Morocco and at the same time enjoy the charm and beauty of the south-east of the country, this tour is for you! We'll be following the rally route faithfully.
Day 1:
Morning departure for the Anti Atlas Mountains crossing via the Tizi-Ntinififteand then the sublime valley of the Draa with its kasbahs and ksour before arriving at Zagora. The desert is close at hand and the landscape takes on a mineral splendour whose brilliance is reflected in the buildings. In the afternoon, we'll take a trip to Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and the manufacture of these renowned potteries. We'll push on to the dunes of Tinfou to admire the sunset. Return to Zagora. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 :
In the morning, departure for Mharech by the Dakar by taking the Tizi-N-Tifilalet. The hamadas (high desert plateaux) along the Algerian border will pass before our eyes full of memories of this superb rally. In the evening, we'll have dinner and sleep in a modest but very decent inn.
Day 3 :
In the morning, we take to the road again to cross the very sandy Oued Ghris. We'll pass through small villages lost in the countryside between Ramlia and Ouzina. We'll have lunch on the way and then head for Taouz stopping along the way at the village of Gnaoua. We will continue this tour
to the impressive dunes ofErg Chebbi à Merzouga. This will be an opportunity to abandon our 4×4 for a camel ride to admire the sunset and spend the night in the middle of the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a tented bivouac. Charm guaranteed!
Day 4 :
Sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga is a show not to be missed! You'll have to get up early to see it! We then return by camel to the 4×4. After a hearty breakfast, we'll head for the vast palm grove of Tafilalet via Rissanithen Erfoud to continue to
the gorges de Toudra where we will have lunch. We will cross the palm grove of Tinjdad, then Tinghir and then return to Ouarzazate.
