Overview
This tour will give you the opportunity to discover the magnificent High Atlas Mountains, where you will enjoy spectacular views and authentic Berber villages. Then you'll admire some superb gorges, a ksar (fortified village) the setting for a number of film productions, the magic of the desert will be yours to discover. Merzouga and on the way back you'll enjoy the contrast with the green Draa valley.
Day 1:
Departure from Marrakech to do one of Morocco's greatest passes, the Tizi n'Tichkawhich peaks at 2260m. We will reach the kasbah of Tamdakte before discovering the magnificent ksar ofAït Ben Haddou. We will then have lunch at Ouarzazate. The afternoon will be devoted to a visit to the palm grove and the Kasbahs of Skoura and then head for the Kasbah of the Glaoui Aït-Youl which we will visit. We finish the day by crossing the spectacular gorges of the Dades where we'll be stopping off.
Day 2 :
The gorges of the Dades heading towards Tinejdad, Goulmina and Erfoud. Then, the desert will appear at Merzouga and its imposing chain of dunes (erg Chebbi). The sunset over the dunes will be an unforgettable moment! Dinner and overnight in a bivouac at the foot of the dunes. What charm!
Day 3 :
The return to Ouarzazate will take a different route. Direction Tazarine where the road winds its way through beautiful arid, desert and mountain landscapes. We pass through N'koub and Tansikht before joining theoued (river) Draa à Agdez. The ascent to Ouarzazatealong this
The river is a succession of villages built of pisé (a mixture of earth and straw) and lush green fields. Lunch will be taken at Ouarzazate before tackling this unmissable pass again, the Tizi n'Tichkawhich crosses the High Atlas before arriving at Marrakech.
