Overview

This tour takes you to the most beautiful and authentic region of Morocco, situated in the south-east of the Atlas Mountains. Soak up this colourful and fragrant Morocco, in a natural setting so out of the ordinary!

Day 1:

In the morning, departure for Les Gorges du Todgha passing by a beautiful lake and the superb palm grove of Skoura . We will continue our journey by joining the road to reach El Kelâa of the M'gouna where a large proportion of fresh roses are processed into cosmetics. This town is at the junction of the valleys of the M'goun and Dadés. Then we'll take the Valley of the Roses trail through Ait Saîd, Tourbist, Tamaloutto reach Bou-Taghrar which owes its name to the presence of magnificent rose bushes. This village will amaze you with its ochre and sandy landscapes. From here, we'll take a stroll along the gardens that border the village. Oued M'goun. A mint tea will be appreciated before continuing our journey to the kasbah of the Glaoui Ait-Youl on the edge of the Dadés valley. We will then head for the remarkable Gorges du Dadés to continue to Tinghiret into the magnificent gorges of the Todgha where we will find our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

After breakfast, we'll go for a walk in the superb palm grove of Tineghir which extends over 15km. We will then visit the Jewish quarter (traditional adobe architecture) and the town of Tineghir. We will then head for the villages of Tinejdad and Goulmima (visit its old ksar surrounded by beautiful oases) then the palm grove of Jorf to Erfoud. When we reach MerzougaThe desert will then be upon us. We'll then take a camel ride to watch the superb sunset over the dunes. We'll then head off to a bivouac where, depending on the season, you'll have the chance to sleep under the stars at the foot of the dunes.Erg Chebbi.

Day 3 :

Sunrise over Merzouga is a real spectacle, but you have to get up early to enjoy it. Departure for Zagora. We will cross the mineral immensity of the Massif Bougafer to reach Alnif. We will have lunch at Tazzarinethen we'll take a track on the Reg (desert of stones) with the Jebel Rhart and on the right the valley of the Drâa. We then continue to Zagoraa very pleasant stopover town in the heart of the valley of the Draa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 :

Departure for M'hamid nicknamed the gateway to the desert. We'll be making a stop at Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library, the manufacture of highly distinctive pottery and the village's underground streets. Our route will continue along the track, through the palm grove ofOuled Brahim and the Reg d'Elfaijato finally reach
M'hamid and the last palm grove in the Draa. We will be staying in a bivouac close to the village at the entrance to the desert. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 5 :

We'll start the day by visiting the ancient Ksar of M'hamid which was once inhabited by Arabs and Jews and is now occupied by Bedouins. We'll tell you all about the history of this place. After a mint tea with the locals, we'll set off on the return journey to Ouarzazate up the valley of the Draaone of the largest oases in Morocco, stretching over 220 km. Up to Tinsikht we'll take a track to Agdez to discover the way of life of the people in the palm grove. We'll have lunch en route before arriving at Ouarzazate.
