Excursion to Chegaga, the sea of sand

The dunes of Chegaga (the erg) is the most beautiful part of the Moroccan desert, forming a magnificent sea of sand, with dunes stretching for 40 km and rising up to 350 metres. Climbing to the top of one of them to contemplate this sea of sand as far as the eye can see is a truly emotional moment when you are overwhelmed by the beauty and grandeur of this site... On the way to Erg Chegaga, the landscapes vary: enjoy landscapes of golden dunes as far as the eye can see, but also desert plateaux with acacia trees. During the Erg Chegaga excursion by 4×4, you will discover the different faces of the desert... A permanent bivouac is set up at the foot of the large dunes to welcome travellers.

To reach this magnificent site, we suggest a journey of about an hour and a half by 4×4, during which you can appreciate the dexterity of our drivers. We'll make a stop at the sacred oasis in an idyllic setting. The 12 tents, each sleeping two to four people, are arranged around the campfire area opposite the caidal tent, where mint tea and meals are served. Toilets are available a little further away for your convenience. The comfort of this bivouac has been designed not to detract from its charm and authenticity.
