From marrakech to the chegaga dunes (3 days)

Departure in the morning to cross the High Atlas via the Col du Tizi'n Tichka which peaks at 2260 m. Magnificent views! Lunch on the road. Arrive early afternoon in Aït Ben Haddou. During the 20th century more than 50 films have been filmed here! Emerging from an ochre earth from which it has drawn its substance, Aït Ben Haddou is one of the most popular sites in Morocco. You'll be able to take some remarkably beautiful photos... We'll take the time to visit this ksar... (fortified village) World Heritage SiteUNESCO at 1987. It is emblematic of the pre-Saharan mud-brick architecture of southern Morocco. It is a very old ksar, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.Unesco ... You can admire the
splendid sunset as we dine and sleep close to this ksar.

In the morning, departure for Ouarzazate. We continue towards Zagora through the valley of the Draa with a little track to enjoy the pretty palm groves and cross the small villages and allotments under the palm trees ... Then we join the road to reach Zagora. Continuing on our way, we will make a stop at Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and discover the famous local pottery. When we arrive in M'hamid we'll be in the last palm grove of the Draa Valley before the desert. From here, we take the track to spend the evening and night in the Chegaga dunes, the most beautiful part of the Moroccan desert. A permanent bivouac is
set up at the foot of the great dunes to welcome travellers.

In the morning, departure for Lake Iriqui crossing the small dunes and the large hamada (high plateau) of black pebbles. We pass Foum Zguid and we'll make a stop at Taznakht famous for its carpets. We will visit the carpet cooperative and have lunch there. We will then continue
the road to Marrekech on a beautiful mountain road. Dinner and overnight at Marrakech.
