Overview

This tour will take you through some magnificent mountain scenery in the High Atlas, the very impressive gorges of the Toudgha, the most beautiful ksar in Morocco, Aït Ben Haddouvalley, the famous Draa and the spell of the desert.

Day 1:

Departure in the morning to cross the High Atlas via the Col du Tizi'n Tichka which peaks at 2260 m. Magnificent views! Lunch on the road. We continue on to the gorges of the Todgha whose limestone cliffs are as high as 300m ! We can go for a walk, have dinner and spend the night there.

Day 2 :

Morning departure for Alnif and Tazarine and arrive at Tansikht where we join the main road. We'll head down the Draa along the palm groves and small allotments to Zagora. We will stop at Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and discover the famous local pottery. When we arrive in M'hamid we will be in the last palm grove in the valley of the Draa before the desert. We'll settle into a bivouac close to the village for dinner and overnight. This will be a foretaste of the desert!

Day 3 :

In the morning, departure for a camel ride. After a picnic in the shade of the tamaris after a rest, we'll set off by 4×4 towards the great dunes of Chegaga which make up the most beautiful part of the Moroccan desert, forming a magnificent sea of sand. 40 km and rise to 300 metres. Arriving at the dunes is an unforgettable sight... We'll have dinner and spend the night at the bivouac at the foot of the big dunes.

Day 4 :

In the morning, departure for Lake Iriqui crossing the small dunes and the large hamada (high plateau) of black pebbles. We pass Foum Zguid and we'll make a stop at Taznakht famous for its carpets. We will visit the carpet cooperative and have lunch there. We will then continue
the road to Marrekech on a beautiful mountain road. Dinner and overnight at Marrakech.
