Overview
If you're in the mood for a change of scenery and cultural discovery, what could be better than a roadtrip to Morocco via the imperial cities? There are four of them: Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, Rabat. They symbolise the dynasties that succeeded each other. Beyond this historical aspect, this tour is also an opportunity to discover the traditional villages that you will find on the road linking one imperial city to another. In addition, you will cross some sublime landscapes as you drive along the roads of the Atlas mountain range.
Day 1:
Reception at the airport according to schedule, assistance and transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 2 :
In the morning, historical tour of Marrakech the garden of the Ménarathe tombs Saadians and the Palais de la Bahia. After lunch, discover the colourful souks with their intoxicating smells, the famous Place de la Plaça Jamaa El Fna bustling with dancers, snake charmers, storytellers and open-air restaurants. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 :
Departure for Ouarzazate (205 km). You will discover the Col du Tizi-n-Tichka which peaks at 2260m altitude. You'll enjoy some fantastic views! We will then have lunch at the magnificent ksar ofAït Ben HaddouWorld Heritage SiteUNESCO at 1987. You're in for some great photos! We'll continue on to Ouarzazate where we will visit the kasbah Taourirt which was the residence of the Pasha El GlaouiLord of the Atlas. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 :
Departure for Erfoud (330 km). We will follow the beautiful valley of the gorges of the Dades passing through a number of villages and small towns where we'll take a break. We will then have lunch at the spectacular TODGHA before continuing towards ERFOUD. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 :
Departure for Fes (445 km) ; We will have lunch at MideltWe'll then continue our journey through the Middle Atlas and its beautiful cedar forests. We will stop at Ifrane nicknamed "Little Switzerland", and then continue towards Fes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 :
the morning will be devoted to a visit to the cultural and spiritual city of Fes the ruins of the Merinid tombs that dominate the city, the splendid mosque La KaraouiyinThe Fountain Nejjarine and finally the centre of the city, with its narrow streets, souks and medersa (Koranic school) and the royal palace. Lunch in a palace in the medina. In the afternoon, visit to Meknes (130 km)which was the capital of the kingdom under the reign of Moulay Ismaïl. The imposing doorway Bab Mansourthe Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïlthe medina market on the square Lahdim the stables and the Water House ( Dar Al Ma). Back to FESDinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 :
Back to Marrakech by stopping off at Rabat and Casablanca (490km). A Rabatwe will visit the Mohamed V mausoleum, Hassan Tower and The Mechouar the Royal Palace. We then head for CASABLANCA for lunch. We will then take an orientation tour of this economic capital: the square MohamedV, the Arab League Park, the HASSAN II mosque, we will walk along the corniche to discover the residential district ofAnfa with its architecture from 1930s. Departure for MarrakechDinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 :
Depending on schedule, transfer to the airport and assistance with boarding formalities.
