Small meharee and excursion to the great dunes of Chegaga, overnight stay

You want to go for a walk in the middle of the dunes to feel the peace and quiet that the desert brings. How understandable! What's more, you're dreaming of discovering the mythical dunes of the Sahara - and that's not surprising! Then this programme is for you.

We set off in the morning from our bivouac in the palm grove to walk with our camel drivers towards Laoulija, through a landscape of small dunes. We'll stop for a picnic and a rest.

In the afternoon, a 4×4 will take you to the Chegaga dune belt (erg Chegaga) which
is the most beautiful part of the Moroccan desert, forming a magnificent sea of sand. The dunes stretch for 40 km and rise up to 300 metres. Climbing to the top of one of them to contemplate this sea of sand as far as the eye can see is a truly emotional moment, when you are overwhelmed by the beauty and grandeur of this site... A permanent bivouac is set up at the foot of the great dunes to welcome travellers. Dinner and overnight stay.

The next morning, after a good breakfast, we return to Mhamid by 4×4 (about an hour and a half on the track).
