Greetings. I spent a week in the desert with a power that my words cannot explain. We were looked after by Aziz and his team. Welcoming, smiling, kind. They did everything to make our stay go as smoothly as possible. Aziz was the one who shared his wisdom, his insightful stories, his experience with us. His super friendly, joyful team offered us songs around the campfire in the evening, which remain very good memories. And a big shout-out to the cook who spoiled us throughout the stay.

Aziz… what can be said about him, other than that crossing the desert in his company brought immense gentleness to the middle of this expanse of sand. I had the privilege of travelling through the desert alongside him; it’s like travelling with a deeply loving, conscious, and constant being. He tells us that the desert passes through us… but what also passes through us is his presence, his kindness, his availability, as well as all the attentions he gave us through his words and actions, which he knew how to convey to each participant at the moment they needed to receive them. No one is left behind. His sensitivity, his good humour, and the breadth of his knowledge are remarkable. We learned a great deal alongside him, whether about nomadic life or about our own way of perceiving life. He is not simply a guide to cross the desert; he transforms people from the inside out, through his words, his presence, and his behaviour. To go into the desert with Aziz is not to go with a tourist guide, but with a true guide for the soul and the heart. Thank you Aziz for all that you transmitted to us during this journey 🙂
